QPS hopeful about drug for corona patients

In Groningen, at the Petrus Campersingel on the Healthy Ageing Campus Groningen,, QPS is doing research for a drug for a pharmaceutical company to tackle the symptoms of the coronavirus. It is an existing product that can suppress inflammatory reactions such as rheumatism and fever. "The first signs are hopeful," says Monique Putman, who leads the Groningen biochemistry group, where the analyzes are being conducted.
