'Northern Netherlands can do a lot on its own'

From smart thermometers and catheters to a new corona test. These things are all being developed in the North of the Netherlands. "We can do a lot by ourselves. This is a good moment to become less dependent on China". The corona crisis brings into sharper focus how dependent we have become in the West of China. The corona crisis should also be the starting point for a conversation on the question whether we want that, says chairman Ton Vries of Life Cooperative. „Because we can do a lot by ourselves.
