AXtion is proud to receive the ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certificates today. With this certification, aXtion demonstrably meets the strict standards in the field of information security. Very important in view of the risks that exist today, especially for customers who work with sensitive data.

aXtion is an ICT organization focused on innovative projects and issues from healthcare, government, health and safety and hospitals and is part of Lode Holding BV. 'A big nightmare of our customers is that sensitive data is on the street. aXtion was already a reliable partner in this field, but the certification is a wonderful confirmation, "says Johannes Wolters (director). It has now been proven that aXtion employs a policy that focuses on the reliability, availability and integrity of information.

aXtion is a specialized company based at Zernike Campus Groningen. Although a significant part of youth care in the Netherlands uses the questionnaire application built and maintained by them, aXtion remains modest. 'Responding to customer requirements is something that naturally goes well with us. That starts with good listening, but also translating those wishes into responsible applications is something that is in our genes' (Erwin te Bos, manager).

Workshop Privacy & Cyber Security

On the 23th of November, Arrix and Meeùs held an informative and interactive session on Cybercrime and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) / Algemene verordening gegevensbescherming (AVG). This showed that doing nothing is no longer an option. In addition, several organizations have already taken the first steps to be ready for the GDPR / AVG in May 2018. Yet there are still many who struggle with this issue. To meet the new legislation organizations need to look at their technical and procedural ICT security, and their (managerial) liability.

ISO 27001

ISO 27001 is an important international standard for information security, focused on the process of setting up security measures. The standard specifies requirements for designing, implementing, executing, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving an Information Security Management System (ISMS). NEN 7510 is a national standard for information security in the healthcare sector. NEN 7510 describes measures to adequately deal with the (sensitive) information that goes around in the healthcare sector. As with ISO 27001, the purpose of this standard is also to guarantee the reliability, availability and integrity of information.
